Two New Faces

The Face has revolutionized the world of modeling competition television. It's blend of industry reality and reality tv is second to none as contestants are introduced to the REAL world of modelling through tasks and jobs with real industry leaders. Executive producer and star of the show Naomi Campbell is back as a Model Mentor and will be competing against two new model coaches. The two new faces are ...

Anne V (Vyalitsyna)
This Russian born beauty is a Sports Illustrated swimsuit regular on a nine consecutive year run in the famous swimsuit edition.
She's a cover and editorial model for global high fashion magazines. Shes also walked the runways for major fashion houses like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and PRADA.
I look forward to seeing her bring her eclectic modelling background and experiences to her team!

Lydia Hearst
Lydia has been in the business as a model since she was discovered by the famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel and her first modeling assignment was the COVER of Italian VOGUE.  She has had 9 international VOGUE covers since, several ad campaigns for some major designers (Prada & Louis Vuitton) and walked the runways for famed fashion houses like Fendi and Chanel.
She was a columnist for page 6 of the New York Post (Style Section) and a fixture on the chic scene as a socialite. She is also the Great Granddaughter of publishing mogul William Randolph Hearst. (PS I'm obsessed with Hearst Castle in all it's hilltop splendor). She is also an actress, remember her in Gossip Girl?
I'm interested to see Lydia share her diverse experience in the industry with her team.

Nigel Barker will also return to the show in the capacity of the shows host with an expanded role as the model's "Confidant" and "Advisor". His new role will be to The Face what Tim Gunn is to the designers on Project Runway I suspect.
I think it is fabulous for the two new mentors to be able to share their knowledge of the industry with the model hopefuls. It will provide the viewers with a more expanded experience and glimpse into the modelling industry as each mentor has something new to bring to the show. Fashion is a fast paced industry wherein the only constant is CHANGE. I'm happy to see some new energy on the show, keeping it current and fresh. The new FACE will be partnered with Frederic Fekkai and be the spokesperson for their luxury hair care brand.

I am also excited to watch Anne and Lydia FACEoff with Naomi, but we will all have to wait until early 2014!
